Lafayette, LA – In celebration of the Second Annual Military Appreciation Day, both bands from UL Lafayette and UL Monroe will perform together during the halftime entertainment on November 21st when Financial Concepts presents the Ragin’ Cajuns and the Warhawks at Cajun Field.

Peter Wood, trumpet professor at the University of South Alabama and Paul Morton, trumpet professor at UL will perform in back to back concerts on Tuesday, October 13 and Wednesday, October 14, 2009. Both concerts are in Angelle Hall on the UL campus, start at 7:30pm and are free and open to the public.

Lafayette, LA - Drums Across Cajun Field will come to Lafayette on Monday, July 20. A local stop on the 2009 Drum Corps International Tour, the event will feature several of the world's top drum and bugle corps in competition.

Portrait will hang in the music building named for Legislator Robert Angelle.

The UL Jazz Ensemble performs on Tuesday, April 21 at 7:30 PM in Fletcher Auditorium (Art & Architecture building, corner of Lewis St. & Girard Park Drive).

UL’s premier band organization (50 players) will present a free concert, a challenging and varied program. Two of the selections will be spatial performances, with players surrounding the audience at one point.

The ULSO will feature student performers and a student composer at this Spring concert.

The University of Louisiana Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Michael Blaney will present a free concert featuring Ottorino Respighi's The Pines of Rome plus guest string performers, Saturday, March 14, 7:30 PM, Angelle Hall Auditorium.
