Lafayette, LA - Krossfyre will perform tonight at Downtown Alive in Parc Sans Souci. The show starts at 5:30pm.

Krossfyre, Downtown Alive, Parc Sans Souci, Lafayette LADance the night away with this talented and colorful band that caters to any taste in music for concerts, whether it be Funk, Pop, Rock or any top 40, R&B sounds. Krossfyre’s original song “Who Dat”, written for Louisiana’s Saints football team, won an award in the Times of Acadiana Annual Music Awards. Their release on Skyla Record entitled “Cheating” also won Best Record of the year award in the R & B, Soul Division in the Times of Acadiana Music Awards.

Downtown Alive! is a 25-year-old community tradition and a popular staple in Acadiana’s cultural and social calendar. Downtown Alive! was first produced by Downtown Lafayette Unlimited in fall 1983 and has continued with a spring and fall season of free, family-friendly, outdoor concerts each year since. Spring 2009 25th Anniversary Series features four Grammy nominated artists, and DTA! favorites of the past and present with genres from Cajun & Swamp Pop to Reggae and Rock.

The 25th Anniversary continues this spring, with a concert each Friday between March 13 and June 5 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm at two downtown park venues. DTA! is sponsored by Cox, Lafayette Coca Cola, and The Louisiana Campaign for Tobacco-Free Living.
