Boca Raton FL – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajun's Women's Tennis Team defeated Florida Atlantic 4-0 Sunday afternoon at Patch Reef Park to finish their Florida weekend excursion on a winning note.

Tara Vasovic, Tennis, Ragin' Cajuns, University of LouisianaThe Cajuns (8-10) won all three doubles matches. The tandem of Angela Dangond and Milou Israel defeated the Owls team of Cassie Bergeson and Virginia Augustin 8-0 to start the Cajuns off on the right track.

UL's Marina Ruiz de Gauna and Tara Vasovic were the next to complete their doubles match. They defeated FAU’s Erika Mrazkova and Danielle Simone 8-4 to put UL up 2-0 in doubles and clinch the point.

With a 1-0 lead, Dangond's 6-1, 6-2 win over Dominique Wimmer gave the Cajuns a 2-0 advantage.

Mia Gordon defeated Mrazkova 6-1, 6-1, at singles No. 4, giving the Cajuns a 3-0 lead. With Ruiz de Gauna's 6-1, 6-4 win over Augustin, the Cajuns claimed the match-winning point to finish off the 4-0 win over FAU (6-15).

The three other singles matches did not finish due to rain.

The Ragin’ Cajuns return home and will compete in their final match of the regular season at Cajun Courts on Sunday, April 5 at 10 a.m., playing host to South Alabama.
