The performance marked the first shutout for the Brandon, Fla. native as he threw 68 percent strikes in the outing. Earlier in the season, Davis also tossed a complete-game against FIU

He stands second in the league with 10 victories and fourth in the league with a 2.51 earned run average. The pitcher of the week honor is the second honor earned by Davis this season. He earned the same award back on March 28 of this year.
