Magnum Hunter Resources Corp. has reappointed UL alumnus James W. Denny III, as president of its Appalachian Basin Division through its wholly owned subsidiary, Triad Hunter LLC.

Denny has served as president of Triad Hunter LLC since the acquisition of the assets of privately-held Triad Energy Corp. in February 2010. With the April 13, 2011 acquisition of NGAS Resources, Denny became responsible for managing and integrating the operations of NGAS into Triad Hunter.

Denny has more than 40 years of industry experience having served as president and CEO of Gulf Energy Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of Harken Energy Corp. He is a graduate of the University of Louisiana with a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering.

Triad Hunter LLC, is a  wholly owned subsidiary of Triad Energy Corporation, and presently controls approximately 88,417 net mineral acres located in Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky.  As of June 30, 2009, Triad Energy Corporation had total proved reserves of approximately 5.2 MMBoe, 69% crude oil and 69% classified as proved developed producing, with a present value on proved reserves of $74.1 million. Daily production from existing wells is approximately 1,000 Boe.
