The honors continue to pour in for Cajuns tight end Ladarius Green. Green was named a First Team All-Sun Belt selection on Wednesday and was tabbed a Second Team All-American by on Thursday.

He led all tight ends nationally in receiving yardage (794), receiving yards-per-game (79.4), receiving yards-per-catch (18.0), games with 80 yards or more receiving (7) and receiving touchdowns (7). Green made a catch of 20 yards or longer in all but one game he played this season despite being double-teamed on over 90% of his routes. The Cajuns endured three different starting quarterbacks this season, but Green caught at least one touchdown pass from each. He led all players in the Sun Belt Conference with four 100-yard receiving games and in yards-per-reception (18.0), while ranking second in the SBC among all players - wide receivers included - in receiving yards-per-game and receiving touchdowns.

Green was one of eight semifinalists for the John Mackey Award and a six-time John Mackey TE of the Week Runner-Up.

Green joins three other players from non-automatic qualifying BCS conference schools on the second team offense in Nevada running back Vai Taua, Boise State offensive tackle Nate Potter and TCU center Jake Kirkpatrick.

The SEC had the most players on the first team with eight, including two on special teams. The Big 12 was second with six players. A total of 10 players from non-automatic qualifying BCS conference schools made the first and second team.
