Philipp Fendt and Andrew Noto both shot under par on the final day of the Kansas Invitational to finish in the top-15 as Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns' golf team concluded the tournament on Tuesday with an eighth-place finish.

Tuesday's score of 293 was the best round of the week for UL who finished with a total of 889.

"I'm proud of the way our guys battled back," said UL head coach Theo Sliman. "The conditions were tough, but they fought through it and finished strong. It's still not where we want to be, but the guys will definitely learn from this experience and it will help their games in the long run."

Fendt led UL with a score of 69 (-3) in the final round and a final score of 216 (E). He finished in a tie for sixth place overall, four strokes shy of individual medalist, Gustaf Kocken of Louisiana-Monroe. It was the junior's 12th career top-10 finish.

Noto also shot under par in the final round, carding a score of 70 (-2). He finished with a total of 220 (+4) to end up tied for 15th place. It was Noto's 12th top-25 finish of his career.

Freshmen Christoph Wenigner carded a score of 225 (+9) to finish in a tie for 35th place. Right behind Weninger was Kelsey Angelle. In his first collegiate start, Angelle posted a scorecard of 228 to finish at 12-over.
