The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns soccer team dropped a physical match to Houston at home on Friday night, 2-0.

The Cajuns (2-1-0) gave up one goal in each half while surrendering 13 total shots, with five being on goal. The Cajuns fired off four shots of their own with three coming on goal.

Kennedy Richards led the Cajuns with two shots, both coming on goal.

Amanda Moorefield (2-1) played all 90 minutes for the Cajuns in the net, making three saves.

Nichole Duarte and Stephanie Derieg each scored for the Cougars with Kylie Cook getting one assist. Camille Koski (2-0) got the win for the Cougars in goal.

The match was a very physical one as four yellow cards were issued, with three going to UL and one to Houston (2-0-0). There were 31 fouls overall in the match with the Cougars being called for 18 and Cajuns 13.

The Cajuns will be back in action on Sunday when they welcome Lamar (0-1-0) to the Ragin' Cajuns Track/Soccer facility.  Kickoff between UL and the Lady Cardinals is set for 1:00 p.m.
