Team Captain Callie Oliver scores 3 goals against ULM.

NEW ORLEANS - The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns soccer team ended the season on a high note claiming a 5-2 victory over in-state and conference rival ULM on Friday, Oct. 31. The Sun Belt Conference announced that UL’s Callie Oliver was named Sun Belt Player of the Week for her efforts in the match.

On senior night, the senior captain scored three goals in the 5-2 victory against ULM. Oliver completed the first hat trick in UL history, as her three goals enabled her to take over the UL career lead for most goals (15).

Oliver ended her season with fourteen points on seven goals, both career highs. She ended her career with 37 points, the most all-time in school history.

Her effort enabled Louisiana to score the most goals in school history against a Sun Belt team, and help the team finish the season with a win for the first time in school history as well.

The accolade is the second for Oliver this season and the fifth in program history. She was named Player of the Week on Oct. 7 after leading the Cajuns to a pair of conference wins. Oliver becomes the first Cajun in school history to earn SBC Soccer Player of the Week honors twice.
