The University of Louisiana Athletics Department wrapped up the 2009-10 athletic season ranked #3 in Louisiana and #4 in the SunBelt for the 2009-10 Learfield Sports Directors' Cup.

Louisiana recorded points for NCAA postseason appearances in baseball (25), softball (64) and men's track and field (15.5).

UL ranked fourth in the Sun Belt Conference (out of 13 schools) behind Denver (No. 65), Middle Tennessee (No. 79) and FIU (No. 128).  In the state of Louisiana ranks the Cajuns were third behind only LSU (No. 19) and Tulane (No. 142).  Nationally, the Ragin' Cajuns placed 144th with 104.5 total points.

The Learfield Sports Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between NACDA and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 20 sports -- 10 women's and 10 men's. Complete standings and the scoring structure can be found on NACDA's website.
