Top Billing: Louisiana claimed a share of the 2010 Sun Belt Conference regular season championship. It's the fourth title under Tony Robichaux (1997, 2005, 2007, 2010) and sixth overall (also won SBC West in 1992 & 1994).

Strong Second Half:
The Cajuns have won 23 of their last 27 games. That's the best mark in the Sun Belt and State of Louisiana and one of the best in the nation.

Frontline Staff: Louisiana enters the Sun Belt Tournament with arguably the league's top pitching staff. The Cajuns lead the league in staff ERA with a 3.32 mark and have allowed the fewest hits and fewest earned runs. In the second half run, the staff ERA was 2.78 and opponents were held to a .238 average.

Starting Off Again:
The Ragin' Cajuns and Arkansas State's Red Wolves met to begin the 2010 Sun Belt Conference schedule the weekend of March 12-14. Now they meet to begin the 2010 SBC Tournament. The two teams square off Wednesday, May 26 at 4 p.m., at Reese-Smith Field in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Getting off to a Good Start:
Louisiana has started the SBC Tournament with a 2-0 mark each of the past three seasons.

We Meet Again: For the second straight season the Cajuns are on the same side of the SBC Tournament bracket as Middle Tennessee. This is the fifth (5th) time that Cajuns and Blue Raiders have been paired in the same bracket (2004, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010) under the new tournament format (adopted in 2004).

Quick Reset: Louisiana wrapped up a regular season championship with a sweep of La.-Monroe. Thursday rain showers forced a Friday doubleheader. Matt Goulas' squeeze bunt in the 13th brought home Kyle Bostick for a 6-5 win in the opener. In game two, Alex Fuselier's RBI double in the fifth inning was the first of seven unanswered runs which broke a 3-all tie. On Saturday, Taylor Hubbell shutout La.-Monroe for six innings and UL built a 4-0 lead through four innings. Four consecutive hits in the ninth produced six runs and put the Warhawks away in a 13-1 triumph.

Valuing the Team Concept:
UL continues to strive on the team concept. The starting lineup features six hitters batting above .300, seven hitters with at least 40 base hits, eight hitters with at least 20 RBI and six hitters with at least 30 runs scored.

Rising to the Top: Over the past two weeks, Chad Keefer has taken over as the leader in home runs (15) and RBI (57) and also leads in base hits (72). During the two-week stretch he's batting .353 with a team-best 12 hits, four home runs and 16 RBI.

Delivering When It Counts: In Sun Belt play, Chad Keefer hit .366 and led the league in runs scored (33), home runs (14), total bases (93), slugging percentage (.756) and was second in RBI (35).

The Power Surge: Jordan Poirrier and Chad Keefer - hitting in the three and four spot in the lineup - have combined for 140 base hits of which 29 are doubles and 26 home runs and they have combined to drive in 112 runs.

Mr. Quality: Zach Osborne has turned in 12 quality starts (out of 14 total) this season. He leads all starting pitchers in the Sun Belt with a 2.54 ERA.

Top-Flight Pitching:
Every pitcher on the roster has an ERA below 5.00.

Everyone Contributes: The bottom half of the lineup (No. 5-9 hitters) stepped up last two weeks, posting 53 of the squad's 90 hits.
